You can use special espresso K cups. I tried them, but it doesn’t brew real espresso as the pressure just isn’t there in this machine. So it drips the water through the espresso grounds, not really the same thing. So if you ask me, it does not make espresso.
Can you run your Keurig without a filter?
You can use the Keurig without a water filter and use tap water, if you wish. I use filtered water from my fridge, or purified bottled water (which is more pure that tap water). It has more to do with eliminating any bad taste in the water than anything functional on the brewer.
