The Copper Box has 7,000 seats. It was used for handball preliminaries and modern pentathlon fencing during the Olympic Games, and for goalball during the Paralympic Games. The handball men’s quarter-finals, all semi-finals and both finals were held at the larger Basketball Arena.

We were the first venue to open to the public on 27th July 2013, exactly one year on from the London 2012 Opening Ceremony. We’re now London’s third largest arena and we’re open to the public as a state-of-the-art gym and fitness facility. Since opening, we’ve welcomed 1 million visitors.
