Are Back on Track sheets worth it?
I highly recommend the Back On Track mesh sheet to anyone who wants to support their horse’s overall health and comfort. It won’t solve major issues but it really does help soothe aches and relieve sore muscles.
What does Back on Track do for horses?
Back on Track offers a selection of therapeutic boots, horse leg braces, and wraps that may reduce swelling, promote circulation of the blood, and offer support and comfort for arthritic joints. They may also aid in the recovery process if your horse has been injured.
How long do Back on Track products last?
Every 3-4 weeks we recommend not using the products for 3-6 days. The period of discontinued use is for you to assess/re-access the progress of your horse or dog and even yourself. Products may be worn for a period of 1-24 hours a day after the introductory period.
What does a Back on Track sheet do?
Designed to reflect the horse’s own body warmth, it creates a soothing far infrared thermal heat, which can help alleviate pain associated with inflamed muscles and joints. For best results leave on overnight, but may also be used to help warm up muscles prior to exercise.
Can you leave Back on Track boots on overnight?
They should only be applied for a total period of 4 hours per day for the first 2-3 days. After that, it is recommended to keep them on overnight. Caution should be used during the first 2-3 days as excessive use from the outset may cause legs to “fill up” due to increased blood circulation.
Do leg wraps help arthritis in horses?
According to EquiSearch.com, Neoprene wraps can be used to help alleviate stiffness from cold weather or standing overnight in arthritic horses. Regular stall bandages can also be used on rigid fetlocks to the same effect, as both solutions keep the wrapped areas warm and relieve general inflexibility.

Back on Track products can be machine washed up to 86°F or 30°C. Use normal detergents that do not contain bleach or fabric softeners. Air dry only, do NOT tumble dry. Note: Do not use bleach or fabric softener, or tumble dry.
Do Back on Track sheets run big?
Thanks! Yeah, if it’s a little too big it’s at least wearable still. With the closed gusset at the shoulder, I find they run small. I have needed to size up at least one size for most of my horses, and two sizes for my gelding with an enormous laid back WIDE shoulder.
