The Coast track. The Coast track in Sydney’s Royal National Park is an epic multi-day walk between Bundeena and Otford. Enjoy incredible coastal lookouts, swimming spots, seasonal wildflowers and whale watching along this challenging 26km track. It’s a good idea to let someone know where you’re going.

Where does the Bundeena coastal walk start?

The official starting point of the Coast Track is at the end of Beachcomber Avenue in Bundeena. However, the walk can also be started from the western end of Jibbon Beach, heading east to Jibbon Head, continuing south along the coast.

Can you do the coastal track in one day?

If you’re training for a longer trek, the Coast Track in one day is perfect. There are enough ups and downs to challenge you (about 1244 metres of ascents and descents combined).

Is the Coast Track hard?

Providential Point is a quick and easy walk to see some beautiful coastline. The walk passes through the Providential Point campsite and continues out to the fenced cliff edge. These views are complemented by the large cliffs on either side of the lookout on this great short walk.

Where do you catch the ferry to Bundeena?

Train to Cronulla then short walk to Cronulla Wharf to catch a ferry to Bundeena.

How much water do you need for the Coast Track?

Beautiful views of the coast. Definitely recommend starting at Bundeena, camping halfway and finishing the rest tomorrow. Not an easy walk, the climb towards the end through the forest is especially demanding. Bring at least 3 Litres of water per person.

How do I get from Bundeena to Wedding Cake Rock?

There are in fact two ways to get to Wedding Cake Rock. The first option is via the Big Marley Firetrail, a bush walking track starting from Bundeena Drive (see map location here). The second option is a coastal walk starting from Beachcomber Avenue in Bundeena following the coastline all the way to Wedding Cake Rock.
