What is Indocid used for?
Indocid is available in polyethylene glycol suppositories. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent indicated for the active stages of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute musculoskeletal disorders, degenerative joint disease of the hip, low-back pain, and acute gouty arthritis.
When should I take Indocid?
If you have arthritis, INDOCID should be taken every day for as long as your doctor prescribes. For sprains and strains, INDOCID is usually only needed for a few days. For menstrual cramps INDOCID should be taken at the start of bleeding or cramps and continued for as long as the cramps last.
Can indomethacin make you sleepy?
Your doctor may want you to have your eyes checked by an ophthalmologist (eye doctor). This medicine may cause some people to become dizzy, lightheaded, drowsy, or less alert than they are normally. Even if taken at bedtime, it may cause some people to feel drowsy or less alert on arising.
How quickly does indomethacin work?
This medicine usually begins to work within 1 week, but in severe cases up to two weeks or even longer may pass before you begin to feel better. Also, several weeks may pass before you feel the full effects of this medicine.

How many Indocin can I take?
Adults—25 milligrams (mg) two or three times a day. Your doctor may increase your dose by 25 or 50 mg per day, as needed. However, the total dose is usually not more than 200 mg per day.
