This is a nice park. I used to go here a lot to swim and the river is a pretty good swimming area. If you’re looking for a nice long trail, you can hike from the entrance to the Pump Station parking lot at Eno River State Park via the Eagle Trail and the Laurel Bluffs Trail.

The Cabelands Trail forks shortly after leaving the lot, and you will bear left. In another 0.4 mile, you will turn left at the sign for the Eno Quarry Trail. You will then encounter a large sign that states swimming is not recommended. However, it is not prohibited.
