Can we cheat on Mettl?
Mercer | Mettl offers two types of proctoring – human-based and AI-based. These proctoring abilities guarantee that test takers don’t cheat. While proctoring, proctors can communicate with test-takers, instruct them, and even warn them in case of any malpractices.

Does Respondus Monitor Eye Movement. Respondus LockDown Browser monitors eye movements. When starting the exam/test session, a student is required to position their webcam in such a way that it fully captures their face, including eyes.
Does respondus record your face?
Respondus LockDown Browser with Monitor is an application that records the student via webcam while taking an online test. Students must have access to both a computer and a functional webcam. By default, Respondus Monitor will record both video and audio.
Is Mettl safe?
Mettl Secure Browser enables you to host a test in a safe environment where you predefine the apps and websites that are allowed, and the system automatically shuts down any other app or website that runs on the system. We customize the browser setting as per your need.
Can LockDown browser see you without webcam?
The webcam functionality is designed for non-proctored environments. Respondus Lockdown Browser with Monitor enabled does not have an explicit exception function to allow an instructor to allow students to take the test without the webcam enabled.
How do I enable camera on LockDown browser?
Select the Microphone tab (second from bottom right) Select the Microphone and adjust the level (volume) Start LockDown Browser and run the webcam check from the Webcam icon in the LockDown Browser toolbar to verify the settings.
Does LockDown browser detect sound?
Respondus Monitor is designed to only record ambient sound. The pre-exam webcam check includes a step where the student can ensure that the audio is recording properly. Monitor should not be used to record an audio response to an exam question.
Why is LockDown browser so slow?
The time it takes to start the LockDown Browser session can be delayed by any of the following: * A slow internet connection. * A slow computer (too many applications running at the same time.) * A Windows operating system update running in the background.
