Dry fall is the term for paints or coatings that are formulated so that when applied at specified conditions, their droplets or overspray rapidly dry into a dust-like state before reaching a certain distance (usually around 10 feet from the point of application).
Can you tint Dryfall?
The dry fall qualities of this product cause the overspray to settle as a dry powder in approximately 10 feet of fall. Can be tinted with up to 2oz per gallon of Benjamin Moore Gennex® colorants.

Does Dryfall paint need primer?
It is very important to dust, clean, sand or scrub the beams, ceiling or surfaces to be coated. If there is exposed metal after the scraping and cleaning is done, a primer like SEAL Grip Acrylic primer can be used before the final coat of dryfall paint is applied.
