What is a KP switch?
The Danfoss KP pressure switches are used for regulating, monitoring and alarm systems in the industry. The KP pressure switches provide automatic limit protection or manual reset limit protection for pressure systems. The KP switches can be used with steam, air, gaseous and liquid media.

Should a water pressure switch be open or closed?
If the contacts are held open and there is no water pressure, attempt to cycle the switch by pulling the contacts open. This may dislodge the internal spring. If the switch closes, turn the power back on. If the contacts remain open, and there is no water pressure, the switch is bad.
